That's my brother in that pic. As you can see, there are abundance of shoes behind him. Despite each of our family members only has two legs, and we ain't gonna grow any more legs for the time being, as I know. Yet we got three shoe racks full of shoes, and many more shoes scattering around on the floor. The number of shoes in the house keep growing in numbers even though the number of feet remain stagnant.
This is probably a typical scenario in Malaysian homes, everyday complaining about inflation, complaining about government/corruption, crying shortage of money to use. But in reality they have too much money to spare, either they face the problem of being too fat eating too much; or problem of too many clothes / shoes in the house until no place to put?
Recently, I recycled 6 more pair of shoes. Because the shoes are breeding too fast until causing overpopulation. I dump the shoes near Boulevard at Taman Seng Goon 慈济回收中心 and a group of scavengers waiting there was quick to pick them up quite happily.
Anyway, since my brothers move to KL/Singapore to study / work, I very seldom see them.
One day, one of my brother came back and we went out to shopping for...... SHOES - because got discount, so it's not entirely our fault again.
We were overjoyed because we bought a pair of 'branded' Black shoe for gents for a mere RM20. We thought we had a good buy.
I thought we no need to spend too heavily on shoes, because nobody looks downwards when talking to us. Unless of course the person is too shy to see me face-to-face when talking?
NOTE : Branded here means nearly every household literally know this brand.
I won't reveal the brand here. But usually people gave the brand a catchy and unforgettable nick name : "Buy And Throw Away".
Good News ! I got a good buy~
